    3. Hi Jan As Jean has already said, civil registration started in mid 1837 so no civil registration certificates before then. (There were a few certificates made out earlier from odd Parishes but they are very few and far between and only contain the details found in the PR anyway as a rule) The entry for Joseph Onions SPENCER is from an extraction program and as such you can order a copy of the Parish Register page from the LDS for not a lot, that is if you cannot visit an LDS FHS to order in the film, then view and print them off. It will not contain the detail found on the later certificates though.
