Listers - A reminder that, just as if the list were a physical gathering of Birmingham listers hosted in my home, I expect civility amongst us all. Discussion of problems relating to family history within the Birmingham area are quite acceptable, and the fun of a list is that we come together to try to provide answers. Hopefully, in so doing, listers become aware of resources of which they, in turn, might make first-hand use. These may be free, subscription, pay-as-you-go, or purchased resources. It is within the spirit of RootsWeb lists for requests to be made for lookups in such resources, and for listers to contribute therefrom, provided so doing does not break any terms conditions. Not everyone has, or is aware of, all resources which might be of use to solve a particular problem. And, finally, unfavourable comments about one lister's private behaviour with regard to another have no place on this list. Best wishes for everyone's research in 2007 ! Wendy B'ham List Admin
