I have 8 photos of men in various army uniforms. They are of 5 brothers, 2 of whom died 1917 KIA. Can anyone tell me where I might locate copies of soldiers records as I can't find them on the ancestry site. There are several possibilities in the medal rolls but of course they give very minimal info. and if I can locate the service records, the next of kin or address before enlistment will point me to the correct ones. Also can anyone enlighten me as to what the grounds for discharge were when the medal roll states " Discharged under Para 392 ( 16) (or poss 1b) KR" Also looking for details of and location of a shop in Birmingham in early 1900's. It was run by a Mrs Florence Broad nee Birch and could have been in Aberdeen Street or nearby. The sign above the door says ".....BIRCH ......& Milk Shop" and above the window "N O T E D TEA & COFFE HOUSE" Any assistance will be gratefully appreciated thank you.
