    1. [B'ham] Family names from Birmingham
    2. Nancy Curry
    3. I'm back again, after a few months, and would like to re-enter my familys' names and whereabouts. I begin with William Pritchard, b. 1790, Birmingham. His father was John, also from Birmingham, though the family was originally from Wales, I think. Almost all my Pritchards list their occupation as "painters" or "house painters". Wm's son was George, b. abt. 1819 in Birmingham. d. 1901 Hednesford, his wife was Ann Fox, b In West Bromwich in 1816. Her parents and siblings were born in Bradfield and Sheffield, Yorkshire.\ George had brothers, Edward, or Edwin, William, also b. in Birmingham.. Ann Fox, later Pritchard, lived on Gopsall St. in 1841 with her mother, Mary, and siblings. Beatrice, Charles, Mary, and Henry. There was also a George, not Mary's son, as he was just 10 yrs., and she was 67 at that time.. George Pritchard lived in Cardigan St. at that time. Beatrice Fox, married, in her 60's a Thomas Aston, a non-conformist pastor. . I think they lived on Vauxhall St. Mary Fox, mother of Beatrice, died at 27 Oliver St. Aston, attended by her daughter, Mary Fox Day (who died in her 80's in Erdington). The younger Pritchards subsecuently moved to Hednesford, Cannock. Gellion is another of my family names, from Birmingham. I believe Mary Fox, was born a Shaw, b. in Bradfield, in 1777. I hope there are clues here familiar to someone in the group. Nancy Curry Marietta, GA US
