    3. Dear Val, It sounds unusual for Qld BDM to give out that information unless you actually bought the certificate. I recently purchased a birth certificate from them and was shocked when it finally arrived (after an 8 week wait and several reminder emails) to find that on the cert the child's three older siblings had been recorded as deceased. As I have a photograph of these children I decided to investigate further and could find no record in NSW or Qld of their deaths. I then found two of the three older children were alive and kicking in a later years electoral roll. The local history group at Herbert, North Qld, where they lived, is now doing a search of their records for me. I can't think of any reason a mother would state that her three children had died if they hadn't. so believe this is a transcription error. Hope this helps, Jan ----- Original Message ----- From: "rickaby" <[email protected]> To: <[email protected]> Sent: Friday, August 15, 2008 9:19 AM Subject: Re: [B'ham] STEVENS/LOMAS Marriage > Thank you Hilary, > I have had no luck searching the Free BDM or LDS.
