hi Graham, I've looked on freeBMD and family search for a marriage between Thomas White & Selina, or an Allington, or anybody who might be her but there is nothing that looks likely. If I have time I'll trawl through Ancestry's BMD index for Allington marriages as looking for White would be like looking for the proverbial needle. Have you looked at the 3 fathers' professions in 1841 to see if in later years he followed the same profession?
