Hello, List, I am new to this list, being a Yorkshireman, now living in Lancashire, and hoping to help a friend and neighbour with his ancestors from Birmingham, who later moved up to the Manchester Area. I have the following, and would be pleased if anyone can expand on this......... Loisa ROOM, bapt at St. Phillips,18 May 1815 (born 4 Jan 1815) dau. of Alexander Frances ROOM and Mary WHITEHOUSE, who also married there 20 Dec 1809 Alexander Frances ROOM, bapt at St.Philips, 11 Mar 1788, son of Frances ROOM and Hannah WARD, who married at Ashton Juxta, 31 May 1787. - - - - - - - - - - - Loisa married Joseph McKinley in 1839 but in Manchester, although they were living back in Brearley Street West Birmingham in the 1851 census. There is a suggestion that the ROOM's and McKinley's may have been Painters - Portrate or Landscape type ? ? ? Any help would be gratefully received, Gordon Dyson, (for Fred McKinley)
