    3. Flu killed some of my relatives in Birmingham in 1923 so perhaps it was the tail end of the Spanish Flu pandemic? Or perhaps a new wave? There were certainly a number of deaths from flu in the city that year. The death certificates do not specify what type of flu they had. So - Flu could very well have been the cause of death. Please let us all know what you find.
