    3. I had hoped the release of the 1911 Irish census would solve many mystery's for me but it thrown up more questions than answered. Daughter of Benjamin and Elizabeth Pool..................Annie Louise Pool 1871. Piano Forte Tutor (Birm) . Daughter Bessie Minna 1887.(Birm) Married Bessie's father Frederick Dowler 1888 (Birm) 1891 census Annie (Musician) and Minna back to name of Pool in Hull, Frederick remains a mystery. 1911 Kilkenny Ireland, Annie Louise partnering John Linehan 1882 born Cork Ireland. John Linehan was a Concert Promoter and Travelling Showman. Found 2 more daughters with them Minna born 1897 England and Annie 1907 Dublin. The family were touring in their caravans with other Show people. Eldest daughter Bessie, her husband Tom Brennan, 2 children Lydia and Mary Bessie are not on census although they were definitely in Ireland touring with their Travelling Show. 1914 Annie died of meningitis, Wood St Ladymead, her nephew W. Griffin was present at birth. John Linehan listed as Travelling Showman on cert. W.. Griffin son of Mary Pool, Annie's sister. No one in the family knew of Annie's other 2 daughters so wondering what happened to them and John Linehan after Annie's death, can anyone throw any light on this family. Regards Jackie

    3. Hi Jackie Are you sure that you mean Ladymead? I know of no area of the City called Ladymead - but there is a Wood St, Ladywood. Might be wise to have another look at the certificate to see if it is in deed Ladywood. You can find more about Ladywood at this link: http://www.digital-ladywood.org.uk/Default.asp Also, have you had a look at http://forum.birminghamhistory.co.uk/index.php ? You can read posts without registering. Registration is free and there are lots and lots of helpful people who use the forum and know a lot about the City. Good luck!
