    3. Hi Gary A good place to start is www.genforum.genealogy.com. You'll have to register but it's free! Go to Countries then Australia. Place a message giving all the info you know for sure & ask for a look up on the Pioneer Index CD. This will give you info for Victoria so if you have no luck look at other regions at the top right of the page. Look through the site as there are many helpful hints as to what you might want eg shipping records. Anyone else who suspects lost rellies went to the Colonies shoud try the above or www.rootschat.com also free. Along with this site they are MY favourites! Happy hunting Marlene ----- Original Message ----- From: "J hodge" <jhdl10848@blueyonder.co.uk> To: <eng-warks-birmingham@rootsweb.com> Sent: Saturday, December 02, 2006 10:08 PM Subject: [B'ham] Australia records > Hi List > > Can anyone detail the Procedure ,to find rellies in australia , I do not > know date he went but sometime after 1986 after birth of youngest son , > he went alone ,promissing to send for them when settled , he never did!. > > Do you start with ships etc or go straight to australia , any listers > over there that could help me. > Sign up to australian lists ? . > > The name is john ROGERS a blacksmith born 1845 wombridge , shropshire . > > gary hodge > > _____________________________________________ > Tracing Ancestors in Birmingham: > http://www.bham.de/ > > Any problems, please contact the List Admin: > ENG-WARKS-BIRMINGHAM-admin@rootsweb.com > ------------------------------- > To unsubscribe from the list, please send an email to > ENG-WARKS-BIRMINGHAM-request@rootsweb.com with the word 'unsubscribe' > without the quotes in the subject and the body of the message

To get to the root of all things genealogical, catch Keith Middleton on the BBC tonight from 10pm (GMT)... All of this, will be accompanied by friend of the programme, Les at Eleven, the infamous 'Either/Or' competition and a regular trip down the vault... 3. Pauline Edgbaston was never part of Kings Norton Parish - in fact you are more likely to find Burials for Northfield/Selly Oak in early Edgbaston Records. Heather is asking for a Kings Norton Baptism for 1825 , a date which is prior to 1837 - and therefore is most likely to be at Kings Norton, or one of its Chapelries. Edgbaston was Part of the Kings Norton Census District ( at least to 1901 ), also was included in the Kings Norton Registration District from 1837 to 1924. 3. Heather Further to Ken's reply ! Firstly the Kings Norton Parish Church was St Nicolas ' St Mary's Moseley , was until c 1850 a Chapelry of St Nicolas' . Kings Norton Records start about 1613 but are mostly from Bishop's Transcripts , as original; records lost . Records for St Nicolas' are also on Film. This film below should hold the record you seek. Baptisms, 1826-1841, burials, 1826-1841, and marriages, 1830 for Kings-Norton and Moseley; Baptisms, 1830 for Wythall FHL BRITISH Film 350482 Item 1 Kings Norton and Moseley were still part of Worcestershire County in 1825 ( also Part of The Diocese of Worcester ) didn't become part of Warwickshire until 1911.
