    3. Hi List Being very short of readies (no job etc) Is it possibile to obtain /prove a persons birth parents without having to actually part with money , I relize you have to pay up front , but I am thinking that if I list one of the parents wrong , but still proving that I am right in a devious way and get my money back!!!!. Do they tell you on what parent it failed on , thus if I thought the parents were really a william and emily ******, and just entered williams name ,but with a false mothers name as well, what would I get back from the GRO or whatever, if it failed on mothers name. And the search being made on a complete match of both. gary hodge

    3. My family is from Northamptonshire but I have Messenger in my family lineage....but I would like to ask you about your name Edwards....My grandmother 4x removed was Jane Edwards and she married Uriah Bromwich. Is it possible to be related to her? I only know that her father was Edward Edwards and her mother was Elizabeth Roomes. Her father was originally from Wales. And I do know that she had a brother named Henry Edwards...Curiosity never kills the genealogist. In the meantime I wish everyone a very Merry Christmas and Happy Holiday season...from the BROMWICH clan and the variations there of world wide... 2. Michele Le Resche
    3. Looking at the record at 200% I think it is a 6d 386 not 286. And NOTE he married at Aston. Although the front page says 286. Lucy Atwood is 6d 286 Also Jane Howard and the others BUT NOTE they are all Birmingham, not Aston as he is listed as. It is sad that had he married a few years later you might have got a spouse name. Did he have any children? The birth certificate would show a mother maiden name? Also a shame we do not yet have access to the 1911 census which undoubtably might help. I have found I think it is him on the 1901 census with a mother only living at 4 Carlton Road Age 22, (bicycle worker) and mother Sarah A Stephens age 48 widow. Sorry I cannot help anymore Michele On 25 Dec 2006, at 10:03, Marlene Shipman wrote: Hi I have noted a marriage Mar Qtr 1907 6d/286 /Aston /of Arthur Harry Stephens. 1. [B'ham] TURNER help!
    2. Hi Listers MERRY XMAS!! I have hit a problem with my Birmingham ancestry. I am related to the TURNER clan from Birmingham - Richard TURNER b.1809 (m) Emma GOODFELLOW b.1810, they produced George Goodfellow TURNER b.1843 (m) Cecilia MARTIN b.1845. >From the marriage of George & Cecilia came Florence Bertha (b.1879), Matilda/Tilly (b.1885), Emma/Emily/Pem (b.1872), George Goodfellow (b.1876) and Amelia/Minnie (b.1870). My problem is that after George TURNER's death (when Cecilia was a widow) in the 1891 census there is a Lizzie TURNER (b.1871) as Cecilia's STEPDAUGHTER. Can anybody shed any light on her? Are there any listers who are related to these TURNERS? I wish everyone a very merry Xmas, and good luck with all your searches. Thanks in anticipation Anthony (from TURNER, GOODFELLOW and HOLYOAK stock!)
