    1. [B'ham] Villers Family
    2. groco1
    3. I am looking for Joseph Villers born in Birmingham c 1840. His father was a Silversmith also named Joseph and born c 1811. His mother Mary had one more child that I know of Ann Villers born c 1836 and died as a child in 1851. They all came from Birmingham except for Josephs father who came from Wabry? Does anyone else have the same interests? Regards Penny

    1. [B'ham] Lussu Street
    2. The marriage was 1888. A relation has the certificate but 5 of us looked at it last week and it was clearly Lussu. Never mind - one of those little mysteries which will probably be solved when we least expect it to be. Sheila

    2. I was hoping someone could enlighten me as to the whereabouts of Birmingham wills? I have obtained the death certificate of my ancestor William Hyatt DARKE (other family members used the spelling "Hyett") which confirms that he, a chemist, died on 20 February 1849 at 335 Coventery Rd., Aston. I have access here in Australia to the National Probate Calendars on microfiche, but these only start in 1858. Is there an index anywhere to earlier wills? Where would the documents themselves be found? Grateful for any assistance! Jane N. Birmingham families - DARKE, HYETT, BAYLEY, BENTLEY, MOUNTFORD, LATHAM, ROBINS

    1. [B'ham] Businesses and Surnames
    2. Debbie
    3. Hi everyone, I have been gone a long time and would like to throw in my surnames again. Also I would like to ask about businesses. I have many old photos but no name to go with them - some are the postcard type but others have the photograghers name on the back. Is there a sight to find these photograghers, would there be any records of them still? I know this is a long shot but I figure that's what we deal in all the time. Also I have an appprenticeship indenture paper of my grandfather (CHARLES M BOWEN) for 'VERITY'S LIMITED, of Plume Works - Electrical Manufacturers' in Aston, Warwickshire. I was wondering if I would be able to find a list of other workers from there. - hopefully a picture of the place. Surnames are BOWEN, HAINES, ROTHERO, MILTON, MILLWARD, Thanks Debbie
