There are instructions about how to do this at http://www.hmcourts-service.gov.uk/cms/1226.htm You may find copies of the index on microfiche elsewhere than in the Probate registries. I know there used to be one in the FRC in London. His son is Richard Taylor 1833 he married Ann Anderson 1854 in Collooney Ballysodare Ireland I have their Marriage Certificate they did come back to Birmingham, it is Mathew I am stuck with.     3. Bearing in mind that the Civil Registration Birth Certificate is what it says - a birth certificate, whereas the entry from the parish register is a baptism/christening entry! Some of these entries can be many months from the birth date although some are quite close and not all baptism/christening entries give a date of birth.
