    3. hmmmmm well, when he was listed as 13 in 1841 it would have been his mother's word. It's possible he & Selina were not married. I've checked lists for 1848 - 1851 under her surname & found nothing. Do you have her age? How do you know her maiden name? Is it possible she married before? It's very frustrating isn't it? Don't give up, sometimes bits of info come to light after years & when you've given up on that particular 'brick wall'. I'm always happy to help so let me know if there's anything else. 3. hi Graham, I've looked on freeBMD and family search for a marriage between Thomas White & Selina, or an Allington, or anybody who might be her but there is nothing that looks likely. If I have time I'll trawl through Ancestry's BMD index for Allington marriages as looking for White would be like looking for the proverbial needle. Have you looked at the 3 fathers' professions in 1841 to see if in later years he followed the same profession? Jane Graham White <[email protected]> wrote: Hello I'm trying to find more information for my gr gr grandfather Thomas White born c1828. Can someone please help me find a record of the marriage to Selina as I have been unable to find one. Thomas White was born in 1828, before civil registration, so I am having difficulty in tracing his parents. It's such a common name and the 1841 census gives me three possible matches in Birmingham. I have been able to trace Selina's parents. I posted a similar message in June but I don't think it was received as I can't find it in the archive?
