Sally, Glad you had a good day. The day I went is one I shall never forget even though there were only one or two graves of interest. The whole property and the scenery fascinated me, especially Cheryl and her entourage of cats! Just further along the lane are two farms, Mellings and Hazelgreave. Both of these were occupied by my ancestors in the 1700's. I could have bought the house off her there and then! (Lottery win providing!!) Although I'm not so sure about a dark and thundery night with the grave yard on the doorstep! Best wishes, Linda ----- Original Message ----- From: "Sally Hinchliffe" <sally.hinchliffe@btinternet.com> Linda, You asked me to let you know when I visited Clough Foot graveyard, - I went today. I know you and Rosemary had said how helpful Cheryl was to you, but even so I was not prepared all the help she gave me or for the wealth of information she has gathered together. She knows where the graves are situated, has photos of some of them and I was totally stunned, but absolutely delighted, to see that she has one of the registers. She gave up a couple of hours of her time and made me feel really welcome today. I've had a really good, succesful day for which a lot of thanks must go to Cheryl.
