Rob, I have several sheets of extracts from all the census returns, mainly of Walsden. I found the following on the 1861 census. The first family looks like it may be yours. The second family are obviously related - they lived next door. I don't know what you know about the area. If you know nothing or very little, please say, and we will all endeavour to help! The fact that they were baptised/married in Tod. or at Heptonstall means very little. They could have lived in Todmorden, Stansfield, Langfield, Walsden, or up sough and round back o' jossies. Peel Cottages were, I think, at Inchfield Fold. This is in Walsden, not Todmorden. My own family is from Inchfield Fold. Let me know if you think this is your Fielden family.
