    3. Todmorden Tourist Information, Burnley Rd Todmorden has a variety of booklets available on Tod. and surrounding areas. Available are: The Development of Todmorden 1700 to 1896 (updated 2000) Portrait of a Town (Mid-19th Century Todmorden) Walsden (A Century of Change 1780 - 1880) Walsden Words (How we used to live and speak) Todmorden Cameos Stoodley Pike The hardback book "The Fieldens of Todmorden" by Brian R. Laws is also available @ £20 Another usful booklet is Shore in Stansfield (A Pennine Weaving Community 1660 - 1750) Produced by the Workers Educational Assoc. but I am not sure if it is still in print. Based on only a small part of Todmorden ie Shore, it nevertheless contains a wealth of information, particularly about Fieldens and Stansfields with quite a few family trees. Jack (Todmorden)
