Peter, I believe you have touched a generational hot wire here in the States. Many younger people have adopted a communication style that omits all commas, apostrophes, etc. for web communications. For those of us trained to read and write more formally, it is disconcerting but also sometimes humorous. For instance he'll will be typed hell which can lead to some real double takes when reading a sentence. I've remonstrated with my acquaintances on more than one instance, but to no avail.
