My 3 x gt.grandfather, Henry SHACKLETON, b.circa 1788 in Todmorden, m. Barbara HARGRAVE in Quebec while in the army, 15-3-1815, d. 15-2-1874 and is buried in Walsden Churchyard in " his brother Robert's grave with his wife." Can someone tell me whose wife, Henry's or Robert's? Any facts about Barara HARGRAVE or Robert SHACKLETON would be helpful. Henry SHACKLETON spent much of his life in the RA, abroad or in Woolwich. Can someone tell me when he returned to the Walsden area? When he died he was living with his niece, Ann WOOD, nee SHACKLETON ,at 36 Hollins Mount, Walsden.
