Jack, Thank you for this information on the books, which I shall follow up. Do you know of any books which might help me with my research on the Law family (previously farmers from Langfield - Broad Carr and Spencer House, and then Mellings and Hazelgreave, and more latterly Ramsden Wood Manufacturers, also Smithyholme Mill and Deanroyd Farm).
