Hello everyone, I am new to this list and am researching the above surnames in Todmorden and Walsden, Stansfield and Langfield aswell. I am especially anxious to trace a William WOODHEAD. He was a carter and produced a daughter, Hannah in 1815 in Walsden. I cannot find her birth despite valiant efforts and therefore don't know anything about her mother.William does not appear on any of the Walsden/Todmorden census returns, and Hannah only turns up after her marriage to William LAW in 1850 when she was a 35 year old spinster with a 10 year old son, Amos WOODHEAD.
