Hello everyone, This is not exactly gen. but nonetheless interesting social history. My grandma, Walsden born and bred, had a wonderful Lancashire dialect which she retained all her life, even after 40 years away from Walsden. One of her favourite expressions, when asked where she was going, was: "up suff an' rown't back o' Jossies." Has anyone else heard of this? Yes, it is good to see this list becoming more active.
