I would like to talk to anyone who is researching the THOMPSON family in Tod and Burnley. I have a William THOMPSON born about 1833 he was first married to a Betty Unknown and then to an Ellen unknown from Scotland, William and Betty had a son called John Shackleton THOMPSON so there is a possible tie in with the Shackleton family.
