There are no William J Savell deaths anywhere on Find My Past, not with that spelling. The others are Saville,Seville,Saffell,Savill and one Savelle, some with different first or middle names. That should tell you if her husband was still alive in 1985, and might also provide some useful information concerning the informant of the death.
