My 5x ggrandfather, I am having trouble proving who his parents are, think I have it right? William STRONG's marriage contract said he was 26 years old (1745) when he married Judith EWINS (EWINES) aged 18 years on 19th Oct 1771 Hornsleydown Surrey. The contract was written and signed by her father giving her permission to marry as she was under age. They went on to have 10 children, not all survived. Now I think William's parents are William STRONG (??) St Ethelburg Parish London, and Hannah (Ann) BAILY (BAYLY) abt 1917 Middlesex, on the 18th May 1736 St Katherine Coleman London. They had 6 children that I have been able to find so far. Still born female 1737/1737 Mary 1737/1738 Hannah 1739/1739 Edward 1740/1744 Ann 1743/? William 1745/? It was sad to see that they lost the first four children so young. I can't find proof that the William's born 1745 are the same ones. The first census' were 1841, so don't have them to check as I doubt William would have lived till 96 in those days. Also I have not been able to find his or Judith's death yet. Having checked every thing possible I know about to get proof, I would be very grateful if someone could give me a clue where else to look. Hope you all had a lovely Christmas and wish you all a very safe Happy New Year. May the wall come tumbling down in 2013 Pam.....NZ
