I am working on a history of the MARTER and MARTYR families of Surrey and am trying to trace the will of John MARTYR of Guildford who lived and worked there during the period 1708 to 1781 when he died. Despite his being a notable attorney-at-law in the town all my efforts to trace a will for him have failed. Can anyone help please? I have the one for his son, also John MARTYR, who died in 1843. Hope to hear from somebody! Tony Marter

He may not have made one or it was destroyed long ago. Connie in London
