    3. Good evening and a very happy, healthy New Year to you all. My lost are: Grace Susan SHERLOCK born 1904 London she is on the 1911 census in London, last information is on the 1937 electoral roll. She just seems to have disappeared! She has always been a bit of a mystery. She was my mothers sister. Charles James MOREHEN born 1853 Wadenhoe Married 1872 Islington last record of him is on his sons birth certificate 1876 Islington. I have searched and searched for him for about 20 years . He was my gt, grandfather It would be fantastic if I could get a lead on these two. Thanks so much Pat

    3. Hello and Happy New Year after a long time, Pat We corresponded about Charles James MOREHEN some time {several years?) ago. He's a first cousin of mine at some generations remove. Have you ever got a copy of his wife's death notice from South Africa (1925) where he is recorded as having predeceased her? It would be worth noting who the informant was, and estimating where he/she could have got that information. The most likely scenario maybe is that he too died in South Africa, though I realize he's not on the index webpage of the South African archives. Others may need to know that his wife was Margaret Jemima Priestley (maybe b. Q1 1849 Bethnal Green 2 53) and that they married 8 Dec 1872 (Q4 1872, Islington 1b 440) with children born in Wadenhoe and Islington, and that his wife's death is in the Pretoria archives: DEPOT TAB [i.e. Pretoria archives] SOURCE MHG TYPE LEER VOLUME_NO 0 SYSTEM 01 REFERENCE 57062 PART 1 DESCRIPTION MOREHEN, MARGARET. (BORN PRIESTLEY). STARTING 19250000 ENDING 19250000 REMARKS PREDECEASED SPOUSE CHARLES JAMES MOREHEN. 3. PS: Correction. I see that Margaret Jemima is not likely to be the Margaret Priestly born in Bethnal Green in 1849, but another one born about 1852, Spain (British Subject) - she is a servant in St Pancras in 1871 (census ref RG10 piece 249 folio 94 page 40) and in other censuses correspondingly.
