My ancestor, John HAYNES/HAINES/AYNES was last recorded as giving permission for the marriage of his minor daughter, Maria, to Edwin MANWARING at Mr Broughton's Residence, Muttama, NSW on 8th July 1876. Maria's birth certificate (Deep Creek, Victoria 1858) gives John's birthplace as London. He married Mary Ann SLOMAN on 14 February 1849 at St Peter's, Melbourne, Victoria. I would be very grateful to find some definite information about his whereabouts before 1849 and after 1876 if possible please.
