Listers, Can you please help me unravel these several queries ? John Bew Townsend was baptised in Brixton at St Mathews Parish Church on 30/8/1829. His baptismal details record that his parents,John Beau Townsend & Sarah Frances (nee Garbutt) were married and lived and worked in Dulwich, he as a gardener. A family member (now deceased)said they were married in 1826 in St Johns Evangelical Church (?where?). Can anyone verify or correct this? The father, John Beau Townsend, died in August 1852, aged 53. At that time he lived and worked at Crown Hill, (renamed Crown Dale), Norwood. Can anyone check his place and date of birth or baptism around 1799?. A clue to his parents would be a great help.
