Hi Patrick This is what the GRO "reference checking" button is for. They will still charge you a search fee of 3 GBP, but will refund the other 4 if the checking point does not match. Don't order both, though. Order the most likely (or toss a coin if necessary). That way you *may* get the certificate you want and only spend 7 quid. If you order both, it will cost you 10 if one is right and the other wrong, or 6 if neither is right. The only flaw in this is that both individuals may have had a father called Joseph!
