Hello Marcia Welcome to the List. All Wills (and Administrations) in England and Wales have been centrally administered by the State since 1858 ('57 for administrations). There is no online index but indexes, from 1858 usually up to 1943, are held at various libraries, archives, and probate offices. A full index is available at the Principal Probate Registry in High Holborn, for personal callers there.
