ALFRED HARRIS was baptised in Ewell Sry in 1844. Parents ALFRED and LOUISA. No civil registration. I cannot find young Alfred on the 1851 census but there is a LOUISA born Rotherhithe 1828 married to an ALFRED and living in Southwark. I think she is too young to be the Louisa I am after but I cannot find any other. Maybe she died, but there are at least fourteen deaths of a Louisa Harris around London between 1844 and 1851. And there are a lot of Alfreds with wives with other names. Could some kind person check out the Southwark household for me, if only to put me back to square one. Any suggestions of routes to explore would be most gratefully received. Daphne
