I have checked the Index mentioned and the name George Stephen Holland does not appear. As mentioned before these memorials were often raised by private subscription and it was up to the relatives to ask for the name to be added. I looked at all the WW1 memorials for a mention of my uncle, Pte. George Stephen Holland DCM who was born in Lambeth and served in the 6th. Bn. Queens ( Royal West Surrey Regiment.) , whose parents , at the time of his death, lived in south Lambeth, but he is not listed on any of the Surrey WW1 memorials I looked at. although he is mentioned on the Commonwealth War Graves Commision (CWGC) , Debt of Honour,
