Can some kind person assist me with locating a death date or death registration for Louisa THORPE (nee CAREY) born 1858 in Horne, Surrey. In the 1901 census, she was living at Laurel Cottage, Coulsdon, Surrey. I do not know if Louisa predeceased her husband or not. Louisa was married to James William THORPE (aka as William James) b. 1850 in Fletching, Sussex and d. 1916 at Burnham Villas, 6 Victoria Street, Coulsdon, Surrey Unfortunately I do not have access to the 1911 census to check to see if she is still living - her husband was. Hi Desley, It is possible to access the 1911 census online at the following website - www.1911census.co.uk If you have James William Thorpe's death certificate it should state if he was a widower or not. Both these sources should help you narrow down some years to search for Louisa's death.
