Carole, I tried to find the Lovett family on both Ancestry & The Genealogist - no luck. Have you tried FreeBMD or Ancestry for the Father's death?  I say this because it looks as if your Lucy may have remarried. What was her status in the 1871 and 1861 censuses?  If a widow in either of them, that will help you narrow down date of death of her husband.
