Thanks to a kind member of the Surrey list I now have the father's name for my Great Aunt ALICE ILETT LOVETT - 1870-1947. She was illegitimte as was my Grandfather her brother WILLIAM CHARLES LOVETT 1873-1954. On her baptism entry at St Mary's Lambeth the father is entered as EDMUND ILETT and there was such a person aged 22 living in the area. ALICE ILETT LOVETT married GEORGE BEDFORD from Stukely Beds in 1889 and Alice's Daughter Alice born 1895 married a JACKSON. I would so like to follow this branch of my family but have never yet been in contact with any descendents. They all lived in Battersea/Lambeth/Kennington/Wandsworth/Nine Elms. Any contact with these names from this area and these dates would be much appreciated. Since I now have a name on a baptism record and the ILETT surname was given to Alice as a middle name [it appears again on her death certificate in 1947], is there any way that I could follow up officially on this?
