My wish is to make a breakthrough with research into HENRY PAGE, said in the 1851 census to have been born in Charlwood. I have conflicting information about his year of birth – sometime between 1785 and 1790. HP does not appear in any register of baptisms for Charlwood and surrounding parishes that I have so far managed to access. He had three brothers: Thomas (probably born 1766, place unknown, and died in 1835 in Greenwich), Richard and Charles Robert (I know nothing about these two). By 1810 Henry Page was living in London and for some time was partner in the firm of Hart and Page, snuff and cigar manufacturers.
