Chris, Many thanks for the reply.  I did get a copy od Cyril's will through the Family Court Service near Chancery Lane.  It was not helpful.  He bequeathed everything to his widow. His widow's will i just as unhelpful.  It looks s if I mst purchase more certificates.  I can also try to trace the best man or named friends at the wedding of C Eric Cyril - as reported in the local paper.
