The data sets on FHOL were contributed either by organisations (eg FHSs) or by private individuals. When FHOL announced closure, the contributors each had a choice whether or not to transfer their data to the new provider, or not. Many did, some didn't, and some took their data elsewhere. Presumably we are talking about Surrey here? Which parish or place in Surrey 1831 is being sought? As has already been said, only a minority of pre 1841 heads of households actually survive. So there is no 'global' search possible. One needs to pinpoint a specific place in Surrey and then determine whether or not there are any surviving records. Ann Surrey List Admin
Presumably we are talking about Surrey here? Which parish or place in Surrey 1831 is being sought? Ann: Mary CERONIO is entered incorrectly, in other entries, e.g. CEROMO, CER*IES, etc., but in 1841 she is in Marylebone, St. Pancras. She died there in September 1857, so likely -- just likely -- she is in the same place if she is there in 1831. I'm hoping beyond hope that there was a husband and his name was Edward, and they had left India together. She was born English Colony according to one of the census. Vince
Should read British Colony - sorry. > She was born English Colony...
