Ernest Wade JEWETT, Assistant Mint Master at Calcutta was born in India in 1861. In 1916 he travelled to England with his wife, Lilian Violet and children Rodney Wade JEWETT and daughter, Miss E D JEWETT. The JEWETT family then lived at 27, Dingwall Road, Croydon. Ernest died in 1917. His wife lived until 1955. His son did army service in WWI and records describe him at that time as a university student. I know of their family background in India but have no more information about their lives in England. Does anyone know anything of this family? David
