On this note I should say that Ancestry have managed to confuse matters still further by listing some St Luke Old Street records as St Luke Milwall. St Luke Old Street was carved out of the old parish of St Giles Cripplegate in 1733 taking an area just north of the city - it had a dense population so a large number of registrations. St Luke Milwall in the east end of London was a Victorian foundation and completely separate.
