    3. I have just found on google books, an 1831, 418 page publication called "A Topographical dictionary of London and its Environs". It gives the location of various streets and places. For example: "BOUVERIE-Str Fleet Street, is a wide new street that turns off at No. 62, about the middle of the south side of Fleet-Street. It leads towards Whitefriars, and the eastern gate of the Temple." and "BOW-CHURCH-YARD, Cheapside, is a small square with houses on two sides, turning off at No. 54, Cheapside, on the west side of the church, and leads into Bow-lane. It receives its name from the church of St. Mary-le-bow." This is a real gem!! See Topographical Dictionary <http://books.google.ca/books?id=tjEQAAAAYAAJ&dq=A+topographical+dictionary+of+London+and+its+environs&printsec=frontcover&source=bl&ots=9DyZDKOxv3&sig=GnCEvShmub5CmtaZ2wl5qJq8QWA&hl=en&ei=BNfKSu7WLIHOsgPwwLCiBQ&sa=X&oi=book_result&ct=result&resnum=1#v=onepage&q=&f=false> If you have any trouble with this link just google on "A Topographical dictionary of London and its Environs" Jason
