    3. All, I am currently looking up Victorian Census addresses of ancestors.  Care has to be exercised because of street renaming, redevelopments, WW2 bombing etc.  My research includes checking the LCC records of street renaming and the 1890's Ordnance Survey maps. I have just googled a street, and came across a useful "Your Archives" beta site.  This is hosted by the National Archives and is a place where contributors can add their notes, updates etc. http://yourarchives.nationalarchives.gov.uk/index.php?title=Help:What_can_I_do_here%3F I am sure the site offers a lot more facilities, but it is worth exploring and checking out.  I was helped in looking for a street in Heston, Middlesex.   Richard Brown Bromley Kent U.K.

    3. hi Richard, Thanks for that information. You might like to check out Mapco too if you haven't already. It has a wonderful selection of old maps and makes and comparing them from one decade to the next a distinct possibility http://archivemaps.com/mapco/index.htm le durachd Fionnghal > I am currently looking up Victorian Census addresses of > ancestors.
