Hi Sue! I have ordered the marriage cert. and hopefully will have it next week. I will do another post then if more info comes to light. I can't find any link to the FREDERICKS name and thought Ann HAGUE may have been previously married, but the other scenario is that her mother remarried and she was raised as a FREDERICKS or William was previously married. All the children remained in Australia and the info about Catherine (1865) and William (1868) being born in London / Surrey comes from their marriage certs. in Australia. It actually states that Catherine was born London Surrey. No, we don't have any birth certs, but I guess it would be worth a stab, but there are a few Sheehans born in that time frame. Not knowing if it was London or Surrey that Catherine and William were born. I can't find any mention of the Sheehan family in the 1861 census either which makes me think they may have been in Ireland at that time. Is there any sign that she may have been married before and her maiden name may have been Fredericks?? What are the names of their father's and occupations?? Where were they living when they got married?? What was William's occupation?? All these facts may help us to help you. Did their children James Herbert, Catherine and William all remain in Australia or did any of them return to England?? Do you have any birth certificates for Catherine or William who were born in Surrey to help us look at a more specific area?
