    3. Richard, A most useful facility on this site is the official street index for both the 1841 and 1851 census (more years to come). 1841 street index http://tinyurl.com/cfuoqb 1851 street index http://tinyurl.com/dmly3q Judy London, UK -----Original Message----- From: eng-surrey-bounces@rootsweb.com [mailto:eng-surrey-bounces@rootsweb.com] On Behalf Of Richard M Brown I am currently looking up Victorian Census addresses of ancestors.  Care has to be exercised because of street renaming, redevelopments, WW2 bombing etc.  My research includes checking the LCC records of street renaming and the 1890's Ordnance Survey maps. I have just googled a street, and came across a useful "Your Archives" beta site.  This is hosted by the National Archives and is a place where contributors can add their notes, updates etc. http://yourarchives.nationalarchives.gov.uk/index.php?title=Help:What_can_I_ do_here%3F I am sure the site offers a lot more facilities, but it is worth exploring and checking out.  I was helped in looking for a street in Heston, Middlesex.
