Hello, I've heard that more records are to be added soon. Does anyone know which ones they will be please? Hi Jan I can't anything on Ancestry re new records. Perhaps to email them? Cheers Andy ----- Original Message ----- From: "Neil & Jan Hearn" <neil.hearn3@bigpond.com> To: <eng-surrey@rootsweb.com> Sent: Monday, October 12, 2009 10:11 PM Subject: Re: [SRY] Ancestry's new London parish registers > Hello, > I've heard that more records are to be added soon. The LMA's Digitisation page (http://www.cityoflondon.gov.uk/Corporation/LGNL_Services/Leisure_and_cultur e/Records_and_archives/Ancestry+digitisation.htm) gives a list. They are not doing badly so far - it would be nice if the school admission registers were indeed online in 2009! The indexed versions of the earlier parish registers are something to look forward to as well, but the huge variation in style of these from parish to parish (not to mention the condition of some of the registers themselves) must be giving them a bit of a headache. Thanks for going to the trouble for me Caroline. It has answered a number of questions, I will have a look on the Catholic site, I have had no luck with the civil registration search. I don't believe the couple I am interested in married, they are on the censuses though. Thanks again Carole -----Original Message----- From: eng-surrey-bounces@rootsweb.com [mailto:eng-surrey-bounces@rootsweb.com] On Behalf Of Caroline Bradford Sent: 12 October 2009 22:25 To: eng-surrey@rootsweb.com Subject: Re: [SRY] Ancestry's new London parish registers The LMA's Digitisation page (http://www.cityoflondon.gov.uk/Corporation/LGNL_Services/Leisure_and_cultur e/Records_and_archives/Ancestry+digitisation.htm) gives a list. Can someone tell what the registration district for Millwall was in the 1890s, please? And is there a list of them somewhere? I have a similar list for Middlesex. Hi Lawrence You're on the wrong side of the river for Millwall:-) It's on the Isle of Dogs, north of the Thames, so in Middlesex until 1889 and thereafter in London, never in Surrey. I am pretty sure it came under Poplar RD at that time. Best wishes Caroline > > > Can someone tell what the registration district for Millwall was in the > 1890s, please?
