    3. Hi Peter The Richard you mention the certs for was baptised 7th Sept 1906 at St John the Evangelist Walworth Born Nov 23rd 1906 the son of Henry and Edith WHITTINGTON of 35 Morcombe Street , Henry a fishmonger That is the only child I can find baptised for this couple It does sound as if the Richard Victor you seek is a different child to the one you have the certs and now baptism for, why would they Baptise, Register the birth & death as just Richard then send a post card as Richard Victor? Was there a male WHITTINGTON registered in the period? Or could he have been born abroad perhaps? Is it not possible the child marked as 5 months was born at another time? I have sent photos similarly marked XXX at 5 months but years different to when the photo was taken Mind you I don't find a Richard Victor WHITTINGTON born at any time in Eng/Wales Nivard Ovington in Cornwall (UK) > Hello to All, > > I have a postcard photograph of a child marked RICHARD > VICTOR WHITTINGTON 5 months old, the postmark date is 22 may 1907, and is > addressed to 42 Hill Rise Richmond. All of these people including myself are descendants of George Whittington (Hatter) and Caroline Whittington (nee King). I have just ordered a film covering Baptisms at St John's Walworth 1904 1941, but you have just answered that query, so I will order another on Marriages to check on Henry and Edith, as I mentioned I have not been able to find them on St. Catherines Index or Free BMD. My reason for chasing living relatives in U.K.is to see if they can help me find any information on the birth or baptism of George Whittington (Hatter) as ten years of searching by myself has so far been fruitless. Thank you for your interest.
