That format does indicate that the surname could not be read rather than that it is not there. There are no Bishops Transcripts for this period. It is possible the name could be read under ultra-violet light - Headley register for this period is damaged and badly faded. Unfortunately this sort of detailed work is taking a back seat at present against the mass of material from the urban area which we are trying to get online.
