    2. >From The Pall Mall Gazette ( London, England ), Friday, April 23, 1875; Issue 3176. An inquest was held yesterday at Bramley, Surrey, on the body of Miss Edith Frances FARRER , aged twelve, youngest daughter of Mr. Henry Lawrence FARRER , of Godsden, near Guildford, who met her death while out riding on the Downs on Monday. Her pony taking fright, she fell from the saddle, and her legs became entangled in the pommel, she was dragged some distance head downwards. When picked up she was quite dead. The jury returned a verdict of accidental death. Mr. FARRER complained that the police had refused to allow him to remove his daughter's body home before the inquest, although he had received the coroner's permission to do so.
