Our guest speaker for this, the penultimate meeting of the year, is our Society's President, Paul Blake and the subject of Paul's talk is "Manorial Records" At our July meeting last year Paul introduced us to British property and land records in which he gave an overview of the various sources. On this occasion Paul will be concentrating on one specific aspect - the subject of manorial records, including manorial courts. It is a common misconception that manors and their records relate purely and simply to the middle ages, whereas the records do in fact continue well into the 20th century and so clearly have rather more than a passing relevance to the lives of a great many of our ancestors. I do hope that you will be able come along on Saturday the 10th and very much look forward to seeing you then. David Carter -- Maureen Burton Postal Sales ESFHS
